Simple Mitten Class - Beginner/Advanced Beginner

In this class we will create a basic mitten. Mittens are great for the whole family. The pattern provides multiple sizes and yarn weights for your future use; however, we will be following the 7-inch size instructions and WORSTED WEIGHT directions in order to unify the class and make instruction more efficient. You will learn working in the round using the magic loop method, increasing at the thumb gusset using the make 1 increase, decreasing stitches using k2tog and ssk, and picking up and knitting stitches at the thumb gusset.
There will be two class sessions: First class will teach magic loop, joining in the round, make 1, and discuss k2tog and ssk decreases. Second class will address the creation of the thumb and finishing the project.
