Basic Toe-Up Socks Using Magic Loop

Learn the technique of making a sock from the toe-up using magic loop (no double-pointed needles). In this 3-part class, we will be learning Judy's Magic Cast On for a seamless toe, an easy heel with no short rows or picked up stitches, and a stretchy bind off. We will be using a worsted weight wool to make the project go faster and to easily learn new techniques.

Skill Level: Intermediate
Skill Details: Advanced Beginner/Intermediate Must be comfortable knitting and purling. It?s helpful if you have completed a few small projects. Experience with increasing and decreasing, and knitting in the round are a plus, but not required.
Materials Included: No
Requirements: Materials: 1-2 skein of worsted weight, superwash wool, preferably in a light to medium color to enable you to see stitches easily. We are using Berroco Ultra Wool, which is machine washable. 1 size 4 US circular needle, 32" or 40" long, stitch marker, tape measure, scissors, tapestry needle for sewing in ends. Instructor asks that masks be worn. Both class limits and mask requirements will be re-assessed and may change as we get closer to class dates.
