How to Read Knitting Charts

Charts offer a visual depiction of the fabric you are creating with your knitting, and a concise short code of instructions. Knowing how to read and work from charts brings unlimited freedom to your pattern choices, making chart-only patterns accessible, as well as giving you the ability to move between written and charted instructions in a pattern. This class will discuss chart basics, and the chart key, including lace, cable,  color work and short rows. Basic understanding of these techniques is required in order to practice swatching.
